Peanut sauce round 2

I wanted to make more of the peanut salad dressing from the last post, but we were almost out of peanut butter. Heaven forbid. So I improvised, and the result was a similar-tasting sauce with a more interesting texture.  For this recipe you’ll need a blender. Immersion blender = perfect.



4-6 tablespoons soy sauce

1.5 tablespoons peanut butter

4 handfuls peanuts (I used salted because that’s what we keep around, but unsalted would be better because soy sauce is already salty)

3 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon honey

2.5 – 3 tablespoons freshly grated ginger

2 teaspoons nutmeg

Black pepper

Sriracha to taste

Hot sesame oil to taste


Directions: Blend. Eat.
